R & K Jepson's new funeral home in Wirksworth was officially opened on November 4th 2011 by Mr William Tucker, The Lord Lieutenant of Derbyshire. A service of dedication was conducted by Canon David Truby and other local clergy. The Mayor of Wirksworth, Mr Andy Pollock and other local dignitaries also attended along with Mr Andrew Pargetter, President of the National Association of Funeral Directors.

The new premises provide a reception area and a cloister that leads to the lounge and chapel with a private courtyard. There is also a preparation area, cold room, garaging and private parking.
The Jepson family have been associated with funerals in Middleton for just over one hundred years and are very proud to be still serving the local community. There are currently three generations involved in the business; Keith, Roger and Tom. To reflect their close association and history with Middleton, the new premises will be known as Middleton House.

Since Roger Jepson joined the firm in 1980, steady acquisitions have been achieved as other local funeral directors have retired.
